Changing storyboard
going through the storyboard there are some scenes that we can not achieve any more for example the clock and some others. Im going to make a quick storyboard and do some changes that can actually be achieved in our scene, nothing over the top so guys give me your inputs because i have already started animating and deadline is next week, so NO MORE MODELLING.

little annoying!!!
just wanted to say cause we are all using different maya files and doing our own bit of adjustment to the scene, the clever idea would be to let the person who is animating use the latest file as this is the final one we are going to use and the other members just carry on with the modelling and import it over when ready. The reason for me saying this is that everytime i import something over to my maya file and make a few adjustments to it i have to repeat the same process again importing what i did to either deans of rich file as they were adjusting the same file also. To me this is just wasting time and could easily be used doing another objective. This has happend few times nw and plz i dnt want it to happen again. So just to let you know im animating on the final file so dean and rich if ur modelling DO NOT model on the kitchen scene create a new scene and then just import it.
Objective
hi guys just wanted to say that we have been modelling for like time now and i think that we should have started animating weeks ago yeh, the only thing ill model is the clock the other things you listed for me either you dean or richard can take it as i am going to make a start on the animating

Wednesday - Self Study
Okay, for 2moro we'll wont be coming in to meet up but work is to be done at home. I will be neatening n re-riggin the c-roach. and makin sure lighting n rendering runs smoothly for animating.
Rich, if u can tidy up the texture n hypergraph n stuff fo us den that'lll be great.
Fer, If u can model the pos-its, a mug rack, a dish crate and a clock would be great. putting more life into the kitchen.
as for me, i'll try to start animating very soon. i'll give you's a report on thursday wen we meet up.

For You to Eye Up.....!!!

A poster Of Alesha Dixon is added (for Fer sake!!!) on the fridge, held with round fridge magnets & a Tom & jerry calendar to promote the theme!!!
My Modelled Objects
Yo guys, i just uploaded all my models n combined it as one object. so if u want jus seperate it init. u should be able to just Drag + Drop straight into the final scene and it should be in place already. but i dont fink the textures that i did for it will be there. anyways. heres the link:

Hye guys.. i c every1 is having bad times. im gettin anooyed aswell.. not much can be done on myaya. need to upgrade my PC for real. lol.. but im bare skint.. jus been sorting out bare personal stuff recently.. so yeahh.. this weekend is jus giving myself some space n rest from all them kitchen n stuff.. but yehh. guess we jus gotta put it all 2gether 2moro init.. hope to get alot done.. well, catch u's 2moro.
Im on the say boat as Richard, in an unfortunate event my brother formatted my memory stick where all my work files were placed. Lucky enough I had most of the Maya files and print screen saved on me personal hard drive but for Dan presentation it was not so lucky. Another reason why i was not alble to fufil the objectives is becuase i am having problems rendering in maya software the computer seems to crash on me. But for some reason th files seems to render fine on the uni pc and also sending it to one of my friends they did not seem to have any trouble rendering.

Hi All,There will be an animation meeting for all students on the course in the lecture theater at 12.30pm to 1.00pm on Tuesday 25th of November. Essentially this will be concerning how to address poor communication between staff and students due to many students not reading their mail. as well as this it will be an opportunity to catch up on some of the main events that will be taking place on the course as well as your opportunity to give us some feedback! Spread the word as clearly many of your fellow students will not read this mail!See you there,

Unsmoothing
Hey guys remember we could not solve the problem of un smoothing a particular model, well while fiddling around with the settings I came across with a solution. The way it works is by first selecting the object in object mode after that you see where the three little icons are on the right hand corner of the screen such as the attributes and etc, click on the first one. This is the important bit because all the models I done have been smoothed more then twice and for each time it has been smoothed we have to reduce the subdivisions level down to 0.
So by doing this you have to find the tab (Polysmoothface) depending on the times the model has been smoothed it will be more, once their change each of there subdivisions levels down to 0 and there you are all sorted
Hope this helps

Poly count
hey guys just wanted to say something about the poly count, while deleting most of the vertices i came across the table cloth which had 10000 poly count and so did the table itself. But what got my at attention was by clicking on the chairs and had an outstanding amount of poly counts which were at 66000 each and remember we have 5 chairs in our scene which equals it to 330000. The problem is not from the table cloth and table its from the chairs and I just wanted to inform you.

Our Technical errors...!!!!
Today was another day of meeting up with the group & having our brief re-cap with Jared, seeing how we're getting on as a group and how the work is progressing from the last informative.
We did encountered a few technical errors with maya, myself & Dean personally had the same problem where we couldn't test render an image including lighting & texturing involved. A message error form maya kept popping up stating that "there aren't enough storage space etc" which totally got us clueless?!!!
But however once telling Jared he came up with some assumptions about the amount of polygons contained in the kitchen, so we did a "poly count" & the result was absolutely hilarious. The total was somthing on the lines of over 600,0000+ !!!!!
The main culprit was actually the table cloth & was the only thing stopping us from test rendering due to the many polygons it contained...
So now as a solution we're all cleaning up the room, deleting any unnesscessary polygons aswell as fixing & updating our data files...
Here's are some screen shots to re-live the moment, from what we experience!!! happy days

progress report date to day is 4th november, continued off modelling in maya done the lower part of the kitchen sink cupboard and the top also. Rearanged the locations of some of the kitchen utensils, but still deciding on final position.
My main concern now the extension of the floor plan grid aswell the extention of the ceiling, right now its a bit to cramped and we need to space out the furniture so we could also import other kitchen part such as more decorations and so on. so far furniture is completed by producing the kitchen ventilator and the shelving units with an extra wall, inplaced the fridge.
